Wearing a safety harness and helmet, guests with high hopes and nerves of steel can take to the Via Fernetta (or iron way) for a two-hour adrenaline-fueled high ropes course (usually £45 per person). The practice route will give participants the basic technical skills required to keep safe around the course and also teach them about the buddy system, to work together with fellow adventurers. Once they have suspended their fear, they can take the first step to crossing the beam over the gushing water below and cross the gorge walls using a network of metal cables.
A limestone ravine carved out over thousands of years by waterflow, How Stean Gorge is a natural setting for outdoor activities. Adventurers can take part in via ferrata, gorge walking, caving, rock climbing and abseiling, and combine this with watersports like kayaking or canoeing in the same day. They also offer camping trips and team building days, or events for stag and hen dos.
